Default 2009 Ramm1500 Hemi Towing

Went on our first trip this weekend. Took our new 32ft TT to VA. JellyStone. I have to tell you I was skeptical at first and didn't think she would be able to handle. OMG!!!! It was a beast. I could Def feel it on the hills but on flats I alsmost forgot it was back there. In any case, if you were wondering how it tows with 3:55'a in the rear I will say WOW!!!!!

I have the same setup and considering a travel trailer, you can get a 32 footer these days and they are lightweight, I would not want to get into a wind storm but materials nowadays are stronger and design is all computerized for strength. As I said in another post we used to tow trailer with 180 HP 350CID chevy pickups and the trailers were much heavier. Nobody cared you just hooked up and went. Maybe why you see less accidents these days involving tt's LOL Well I think 355 is good enough to pull, I would go with 17 inch wheels and some good tires but other than that sounds like I am getting closer and closer to a Travel Trailer.

Fifth wheel tows so much better then a tag along. I'm looking to up grade from my 24 footer to a 27 to 30 fifth wheel.

I regularly pull a 40 foot on a 1200 mile week long trip.

I pull my 34' Sea Ray (10000lbs +) with my truck. I am maxed out on the towing weight but my truck does fine. I get about 6.5 mpg but its cheaper than driving the boat on the 100 mile trips.

Pretty sure a raptor would not pull a 40 foot... and I no longer own one so no.
