Default OEM Brake controller on 2012 w/only one plug

Well I told the dealer to install the oem controller to the truck I am picking up tomorrow. It's a crew Big Horn with tow package and pretty well optioned. Well come to find out the truck only has one plug. Has anyone found a way to use the oem brake controller on a truck with only one plug? Thanks

Are you SURE it has the "tow package" ? That's part of it.

Yea it has the tow package, hitch and 7 pin connector on the bumper. I would assume that means tow package.

You have to "make" the second plug by taping a positive, can bus a and can bus b. The other pin is left blank. There is instructions on dodge talk how to do it. Very easy.

Works just as if it had the connector. I got little spade connectors and slid them on over the pins of the controller. In theory this should also work on the 2009s but it's not confirmed.

Your truck can have tow package but lack the wiring. Mine did. Trucks can also have the brake but not tow package (biggest coolers, etc). Just weird way they do things.

my 2011 only had one plug but I was able to hook up the brake controller myself. There is some minor wire splicing that needs to be performed to get brake controller installed but it was all the effort. Love the factory look and its performance. You will have to do so digging around the forum to find the wiring instruction. Ill post if I find it
