Default Heated Seats

Wondering if anyone has added heated seats to their Ram.
My seats are 1/2 leather and 1/2 cloth, not sure if that is an issue.
It's a long shot but is the wiring in place?

There have been a few guys swap the whole seats out for heated seats. The wiring harnesses are there from what I know, however you will have to buy the buttons for the console to make them work. Stay tuned and im sure someone will be along to help you out in no time.

Sorry just don't know too much about it, I do know guys are doing it.

Alot depends on which model truck you have. (as for 1/2 leather and 1/2 cloth, dosent matter)
SLT, Bighorn, Sport, Laramie, have the sub harness for the seats AND the switch already in the truck.
But i cant remember if you need a power module or not. Someone else my chime in here and clarify that.

I added heated/cooled seats to my 2010 SLT with Sport package. All the wiring was there. The heated seat module is under the drivers seat. The seats I bought had all the modules with them. I just bought the seats and the switches and they do work, however the leds on the buttons do not light up to tell you they are on. I decided to build my own led driver circuit to light leds i'm going to install on the dash.

I bought the kit from amazon for $60 a seat and installed them in both of our vehicles. They work great, actually on high it gets too hot for me after a few minutes. Took a couple hours to install them since you have to remove the seat cushions and fabric from the seats.

Tempting, looks like list is $301 for the factory kit and you can get it for around $250 on ebay. Never thought I'd care about heated seats, but my wifes new car has them and they are nice.

I got a deal on new takeouts from a Laramie that were heated and ventilated. Let me tell you, the heat is nice but the ventilated seats are great on a nice long drive in the summer.

The harneses and switchs are already there? Where?

Edit: I ordered an OEM kit for $250, hope that the harnesses that run from the seats to the dash are really already there. That would simplify the install a lot.

No, the harnesses that are there are for the factory heated/vent seats. The ones over the counter from Dodge are actually rebranded aftermarket. They should come with all the wires you need though. I think they tap into the lighter outlet in the console.
