Default Invertor module?

I just removed the seats in my 09 SLT with center seat to install the Mopar seat heaters and was suprised to find a module under the passenger seat. I was pertty sure that was where they installed the factory 110V invertor so I looked up the part number on it and sure enough that is what it is.

Funny that they would put the most expensive piece of the invertor setup in the truck and then not provide the dash plug. Has anyone added the factory dash plug for the invertor and was that the only thing needed to make it work?

That's kind of funny to hear they would put that in there...I wonder how hard it'd be to mount the in dash plug?

my truck already has the plug so I can't help yah there (sry). But this can be very interesting to people who want this if they don't have the plug...

The plug and Bezel only cost $20 online, guess I'll see if that is all there is to it. The module under the seat is $115 - really odd that they would put that in the truck and not the plug.

When I had the dash apart for the seat controls I did not find the plug for the power outlet. The module is wired from the seat to somewhere in the dash, wonder where the rest of the harness is.

Since there is a button on the dash to turn the plug on and off, I would assume the harness is wired to a relay in the dash?

Perhaps if it isn't feasable to add the factory plug in, you could use the inverter to have a custom plug somewhere else in the truck? For me, I wish it was in the back seat area where the kids could plug in their crap without stringing a cord up to the front...

I looked at the FSM some more and I am missing all sorts of stuff to make it work. Don't have the enable button, which requires you to replace that whole button panel - the harness, plug, bezel and since it goes through the TIPM I'd assume it would require a starscan to even turn it on.

So I think I'll just forget about it. Don't have a burning need for it, just thought I would hook it up if it was easy.

Now i'm just curious... is there 12V going to the inverter, or is that what gets switched on and off? Makes sense that they would do it that way I guess.
