Default 4x2 selector question. HELP!

I just bought a brand new 2012 ram 1500 Lone Star edition and was told it is 4x2. I dont have a drive selector ****. Does this mean I really have a 2x2, or is the 4 wheel drive always on in drive? Thanks for the help I keep trying to figure this out but haven't come across anything yet! PLEASE HELP

4 wheels....2 drive wheels.

Not a 4 x 4. Which would be 4 wheels, 4 drive wheels.

If the 4 wheels were always engaged you'd have all wheel drive.

Sorry...You only have 2 wheel drive.

Oh buddy... I hope you weren't hoping for a 4x4. But it's a 2wheel drive

Ram 1500 4x2 = Rear wheel drive only. Matter of fact, if you have an open differential, you only have 1-wheel drive...4x1..lol Ya know, a one-wheel peel. ;-)

( OMG, I hope he didn't really make that mistake...)

If you move quickly, you might be able to return it for what you want.

This guy has to be a fake - some bored kid out for summer with nothing better to do having fun with us. No one that can afford to buy a brand new truck can be that dumb.

Why hasn't he posted again?

My question also, why no other posts?

Either as you said or one poor dumb person when it comes to trucks.
