UConnect with Android 4.0.x ICS
After my HTC Amaze received the Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) upgrade I have had continual problems connecting it to UConnect via bluetooth. I did a 'delete all paired phones' and then paired from scratch after the upgrade. While it does seem to pair fine and then looks like it is connected, most of the time when I press the UConnect button it won't link to the phone. And when I dial directly on the phone it does not route audio through UConnect.
Anyone else have a problem with UConnect and ICS, or is this strictly a problem with my phone model? To be clear, I'm not complaining that "UConnect is broken" or anything like that, I'm just looking to see if there is a common issue with ICS and UConnect that might have a simple fix with some setting changes.
Thanks,
Rob

Well I don't have a direct answer for the HTC. I am starting to here and read of a few ICS issues when using Uconnect. I have tried a couple Motorolas and Samsungs that have ICS with no issues. However I was using a 2011 vehicle and I see that yours is a 2010. Do you know what the build date is? If not, then do you have an iPod cable? If so, is a short cord that you plug into a red connector in the Glovebox? Just trying to determine the correct module that you have.
When you performed the fresh pairing, at the end of the pairing were there 2 pop up request? 1 for the phonebook download (PBAP) and the 2nd would be for downloading messages (MAP). Did you accept both of them?

I am running JB, thats 4.3 on my galaxsy S2 (yes its rooted) I have had no issues, nor did I with ICS or Gingerbread. I have recently discovered bluetooth media streaming, which seems to work most awesome!
Link to the Rom you are using?
Sorry I mistyped, its 4.1...but im using cyanogenmod. Sorry you will have to do a search. I am not happy with it tho, I might downgrade back to a thing called rootbox. Much better rom.
I don't think that even with the phone being rooted tho would make a difference. Unless you customized the bluetooth portion to none other. Maybe I am wrong, but I can't see how that would make a difference.

As for the pairing stuff, I think the first time I paired it did pop something up on the phone to authorize, but the next few times (after deleting/re-adding) it did not.
