Default 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT

So I'm thinking about buying a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT with 25,612 miles on it, is there anything I should look out for? Thanks.

Unless it has the 17's, then the tires are fine.

09' was the first year of the 4th generation Ram. It has fairly low mileage so that is good just look it over good (tires, look at the color of the oil etc.) I have been a member of this forum for a while and nothing really stands out as far as complaints. You could research this site and enter 2009 ram in the search bar. I would read the owner reviews on the net (msn autos, KBB etc.)

Buy a real good extended warranty, you`ll need it.
Also ask for past maint records to see how it was taken care of. Ask for a carfax report as well...!!!

1) Tie rod recall
2) Rear end whine
3) Cyl 7 & 8 exhaust manifold bolt recall
4) TPMS valve Stem cracks
5) AC/heater diverter reprogram recall

Not a problem. My father works for a Chrysler dealership and he just so happens to sell warranties. I have already taken a look at the CARFAX as well. The truck is clean other than having a dent removed at some point (no paint damage).

Thanks for the info. I will look into this. I shouldn't any problems dealing with any of these issues, nice to know though.

I've had one interior bulb and a couple of those TSBs done. Thats it. I even like the Goodyear tiires(20s) just fine. Not even 50%worn and ride good. 38,000 miles. Great ride, great handling. For the size and H.P. great fuel mileage. 21/22 interstate at 70/72 mph.

I think they are a half decent street tire, the problem comes if you live where there is snow or ever use them on a non paved road. The goodyear HP's are a car tire.
