Default Seat Replacement in a 2009 Ram

I currently own a 2009 Ram Quad Cab with 85K miles on it, and the drivers seat is showing a lot of wear and has a tear on the seam. There is a local add for a complete set of (Front and Back) 2013 leather, heated and cooled seat. They state that they will fit in my 09. The questions I have, first is this true, that they will fit, and secondly what is the chance the wiring harness will be adaptable with out a bunch of re-wiring? The seats I currently have, are not heated and cooled. and I would need to purchase the dash controls if this is a plug and play fit, any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

The harnesses are there regardless of the seats that were put in. Now whether the 2009 and 2013 harnesses are the same is another question entirely. I also suspect that even if you installed the dash controls that you would need the dealer to activate the features.

Old Jeep, I realize the harnesses are there, it is a question, if they will plug in and work on an 09. Who knows if they changed that entire harness in four years time. I am not sure if the dealership would have this answer to this question, I'll give them a call and get their $.02. Good point on the activation, I really have no idea. The set of seats is being offered at a great price, so I would be foolish to not do my homework, and least see if they will work in the 09.

I installed heated/cooled leather seats from a 2011 into my 2010 a few years ago. The wiring was all there. They do work with the exception of the leds on the switches. 2 dealers tried to make the leds work, but they could not and Dodge would not help the dealer techs because they considered it a reconfiguration of the build. You could always take a chance like I did, worst case you moved up to leather seating.
