Electric fan
Does the temp gauge show hotter than usual temps?

No, it could happen right after start-up with the A/C on. If I shut it off right away the electric fan will run and as far as I know not shut off till the truck is off. If the A/C is not on on start up the fan will not be on.
I noticed this exact same thing the other day. Was finally hot enough around here to use the AC. I noticed the efan was still on a few minutes after turning the AC off. I pay attentions to this more than usual since I had nothing but problems with efan controllers when I installed them on our F150. I'll check the coolant temp in EVIC next time.
I haven't heard or felt the clutch fan kick in as of lately either...What controls that? Heck sometimes that kicks in right out of the garage from cold start.
Truck runs great. NO over heating or anything.

Im not 100% sure but the trans, power steering, and the ac may all run in sync and the electric fan kicks on when one, not all, needs cooling. Not sure though???

Anyone on here know for sure what runs off the electric fan? I had my brothers truck next ot mine the other day and his shut off after a minute or so of the A/C was shut off. Mine ran and ran unil I shut the truck off.
In older trucks the clutch fan is supposed to kick on when tempratures exceed the spring thingy??? I guess the spring or bearing, not sure what it is, engages and disengages the fan according to the temp on that part of the clutch fan. I have heard of many older 4.7 L trucks having an overheating problem and its a combination of the clutch fan or the radiator, sometimes both. But I do know the 4.7 had a very bad radiator configuration and was a common fix.
I understand how the clutch fan works, but the electric is the one that is a dome scratcher for me. I did have the condenser changed, but am not sure why that would be a problem.
