been looking around for awhile but i can't find any information about the connectors that seem to be in a few places, they have a red slider but i can't tell if you have to push in something after you slide it or they just pull out. anybody up on this? thanks

 

the red locking tab should just slide up and the connector should pull out

 

which way do you slide? then it just pulls out?

 

they should slide away form the sensor or whatever theyre plugged into to unlock and then it should just pull out, might need to use a little pressure on it, at least thats all i needed for the intake temp sensor when i did my CAI

 

great thanks, i fought with my dakota oil sensor and didn't want to pull too hard on my cai to take it apart in case i didn't unlock it properly.

 

Most OEM locking electrical connectors I've seen that have the slide tabs also require you to squeeze them in the right spot to release them.

Not exactly. If it's like the plug on the sensor in the intake hose above the engine it is on the same side of the plug as the red slide lock, just further back from the slide tab. If yours doesn't look like that just try squeezing around on the plug (same end with the lock) and you should be able to tell when something moves.
