Default Good Shop in Dallas

This I my first post on here so go easy on me. I have recently bought a new Truck as a 16 year old T boned my 2001. On my old truck I was very hands on but this one seems a little more intimidating, and I have less and less time to work on it since graduating college.

That said my exhaust is leaking from the manifold. I am 90 percent sure but to be on the safe side I am going to switch to synthetic in case it is the HEMI tick I have read about.

the Dealership quoted me 700 plus tax for new bolts on both sides. For that money I'm pretty sure I can get a set of JBA headers installed and get something I really want. I cant seem to find a shop that is willing to do it any suggestions 4 wheel parts is out they already declined.

It's a pretty simple repair, not sure why anyone around here (Dallas) would decline it. Search for broken manifold bolts, it's common. Parts and labor should be nowhere near 700, I think I was out the door at Dallas Dodge for $40 or so in parts and no labor since I did it myself.

It is not that simple when the bolts have broken off in the block, which is what has likely happened. The reason for the $$$$ price is that they have to assume the risk of drilling and removing the bolts/studs and any damage they might cause if they decide not to come out easy. The dealer had hours and hours into mine because a couple of them decided to be a pain. It is hard enough to remove the plugs, imagine trying to line up a right angle drill straight the extract the studs.

Pretty sure I've got some more that are broken now, luckily the lifetime powertrain will take care of them.

I will give Dallas Dodge a call that's not to far from my house. The guy at huffines quoted me 100 bucks for the bolts and 280 a side for labor. The reason I was curious about another good shop is I was going to eventually get headers. I thought I would just kill 2 birds w 1 stone for around the same money. Failing that I may do it myself I'm not completely inept with a wrench it's time mostly. but if you know any good aftermarket shop that's worked on late model Hemi's let me know. I figure if the guy can build a race motor he could prob bolt on a set of headers.

I didn't mean to make it sound like a simple fix, but it's also not as bad as it may seem even with broken bolts stuck in the head. I had a few that were broken flush with the head and one inside. There IS a chance for a nightmare, don't get me wrong. With the right approach (wheelwell removal, etc) and tools (this is where a good set of ease-outs come in handy) my experience was actually easier in my opinion than changing the 16 spark plugs.

I'd also give Rockwall Dodge a call, I've had work done at DD and was NOT impressed by any means but I go there often for parts because of convenience. Rockwall has been my go-to for dealer work ever since.
