Installing magnaflow cat back exhaust system and knn cole airt intake
Hello tomorrow im getting magnaflow cat back exhaust system and knn cold air intake installed on my 2013 ram sport.
I was wondering if I should ask them to take out resonators ?
Thoughts opinions? I'm spending alot of money so I want to hear it but I don't want it so sound bad.

I installed the Boesch Built Magnaflow 18" muffler on my '13 Sport two weeks ago and have yet to hear any drone issues. At 55 mph cruising you can't even tell it's an aftermarket muffler. I agree though, leave the l resonators installed.
it's pointless to replace a good ex system that will last longer than the aftermarket crappie that's all hyped up, oh but they don't sound cool when your replacing the ex system every three to four years, aftermarket ex systems pay for a lot of flue you can use, today, and in the future.
cai do not make ambient air colder, and more air moving into the combustion cycle is over kill if your not adding more flue, say for a grand in modifications you can buy a lot of flue on a stock hemi.
I learned this the expensive way on my 06 2500 ram.

havnt had any issues with my exhaust or CAI although i am on my 2nd exhaust....because i went from a muffler swap to a dual setup havnt had issues with the "flue" though...probably should have a chimney sweep come out and check it though, thanks for the reminder

Okay, I'll try and paraphrase a pervious statement...
Flue = fuel
Ex (noun here) = X, not Ex, suggesting the past.
On a side note, your ECM will compensate for air/fuel ratio. The stock intake manifold has a set CFM rating, which can not be altered by a CAI system, unless you have a CMR tune capability.
Secondly, my '06 Dodge Charger (NA modified stage II heads/cam, 6.1 internals, headers, highflows) has been running the same Magnaflow SS X Muffler for seven plus years now, no problems.

Nice. Did you notice any improvement in your mpg?
