Default Aluminum Wheel Corrosion

Anybody ever seen this/know how to fix it? Just put new tires on them and they had been sitting up for a while.

That's the clear coat separating, somewhat common with aluminum, alloy wheels with all manufactures. Only fix there is to strip/sand the clear coat, and reapply.

That actually is very simular to a type of corrosion that can occur on aircraft aluminum parts, usually the skin. It is referred to as "Filiform corrosion".
