OEM brake controller 2012 Ram Big Horn
Will be needing to install my brake controller for my camper... noticed how clean looking the OEM factory controller is...so I am thinking of going that route. I have seen a couple of threads that mention having two grey plugs under the dash being needed to install the factory controller.
Took a look under the dash.. I have one grey female plug being used attached to the bottom of the large wring harness to the right of the E-brake peddle, I have another grey female plug that is unused connected to right side of the large wiring harness. Then directly behind the brake release there is a mass of wires kind of tied together, and there are two more grey male plugs hanging not connected to anything.
What am I looking for here? Am I able hook up an OEM brake controller and just have the truck programmed? Also, I do have the double plug by the license plate 4 prong and 7 prong, and the heavy duty towing package.

Ooops, thought I had put it in gen 4..thanks for moving it.
Also I have found the answer...I watched a couple of videos showing the installation, its actually the two grey male plugs taped up behind the E-brake release. If only one grey plug is present apparently you have to buy a pigtail and splice into the ignition wires to get the second plug.
Also it looks like in 2012 the programming was added into the Evic, you just have to go in and select your brake type.
