Exclamation Alpine audio system need Help and advice

OK so this truck has this (so called ) nice truck Stereo. I do like the Head unit but the sub, sub amp speakers all sound like Pooooh. I have a set of JBL 5.25 componet set with a re audio 10 sub and two brand new amps one for the sub and one for the door speakers. So i go to the local audio shop and the guy tells me depending on which radio I have weather or not I must keep the stock amps then run into a converter or just bypass them and run to the converter. If you have any advice please let me know this is a 2011 Laramie system with I believe 8 speakers. I have no idea where the amps or amp is located

I could be wrong on this but as far as I remember the AMP is located under the steering wheel behind the fuse panel, Also I believe the Sub amp and speaker amp are one unit, but the Sub being a dual voice coil will need two line out converters if that's the route your going,
