Default Somethings up in the front end....

So I happened to have just made and appointment for an oil change and a safety sticker. I was backing up to leave work today and cut the wheel hard to the right in reverse and got this loud clacking/snapping noise out of the passenger side front. You could feel it in the floor boards. That and a sort of low squeek noise. Sort of rubber on rubber noise. Then while driving at slow speed I got this noise that sort of sounded like the ABS noise when you get on the brakes hard, or maybe the cylinder cutout noise? But not over 35-40mph. Then....everything just stopped making noises. Didn't happen again all the way home 89 miles. Even tried to do the noise backing into my driveway. So tomorrow I am going to have them check the 4 wheel drive and front universals/hubs etc....Make sure they do a chassis lube on it to.

Just got back from the stealership. Bad wheel bearing on the right side front.
They brought me back into the bay and there was quite a bit of play and was making a grating sound. Probably good I went in seeing as I was just doing 80 on the highway the day before.....
The damage.....$495.00 for a sticker, oil change and a front hub.

only thing im noticing now is when i turn the wheel hard to the left to back into driveway i swear i keep hearing a weird clicking noise for about rotation... then it goes away. hopefully they put the bearing in right?

Kind of hard to put a unit bearing in wrong.

I'm about to put slotted/drilled rotors and new pads on my truck (just under 60k) and while I'm at it I am going to do my bearings since it seems people see them going bad around 70k...anyone else having bearing issues?

RAMULAK, how many miles do you have on your rig?
