Angry Towing Mirror Problems

I recently bought a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel and it did not come with towing mirriors so I purchased some off a Ebay. When I disconnected the stock mirrors and hooked up the new ones the check engine light came on. Now the new mirrors have no plug like the stock ones you know for the mirror movement, temp, heating element. Is there a way to clear or block that sensor for the mirrors so I can get the check engine light off. Dodge here in Bakersfield says there is nothing I can do.

Tear down the old mirrors and connect the temp sensor, that's probably the one causing the CEL.

You need that ambient temp sensor. Find a way to connect it. It's in the drivers mirror.
