E-brake sagging
I have a steep driveway so I have to use my parking/emerg brake everyday. From daily use, either the cable is stretched or the brakes are worn enough to let the cable hang down under the truck about 2" lower than they're supposed to. I didn't see any obvious tensioner adjustments. Anyone know how to adjust the slack out of the cable?
oldjeep, the only thing that holds them up are the eyelets and tension. I think he means the entire unit hangs, not that the cable is pulled from the jacket....
At least that's how it read and how I took it.
As for the adjustment. I would recommend adjusting once. If you find yourself needing even more adjustment in the future, it's best to replace the cables.

I had this happen to my truck as well . I found the little pivot arms that actuate the mini brake shoes for the emergency brake were seized. the engine is so powerful you won't notice the e brake grabbing a bit. I hope this helps!
I guess he could have spring mech problems and a little bit of rust forming not allowing the weak spring to retract fully!
