What is this dash plug for?
Doing the old 180 degree plastic gear swaparoo on the vent actuator motor this morning I noticed this plug behind the dash. 3 wires going to it. It is plugged into a dead plug holder right behind the Dodge logo just below the environmental control *****.
Sorry for the bad picture, but I was more in a rush to get it all back together. Just wondered what it was for. . Oh and yes my actuator gear was missing one tooth and another next to it was about half missing. I think these are breaking because there is no give at all to the door/flap thingy in the plastic enclosure. If there was a little give I think this would not be an issue.. That or a better limit switch to it. JMHO of course.

That is just the harness for the lower switch bank which you don't have. It is for the heated seats and such. Having one harness that can accommodate all the trim lines is cheaper than having 10 different harnesses with varying make ups.
Nice thing is you can add that switch bank for your own powered options since you have a powered plug.

Thanks. I was just wondering what it did. Also correct...no heated seats.
Also yeah that is what my gear looked like as well......So far no banging, popping, or snapping by just turning the gear 180 degrees out. Hopefully will last another 75,000 miles.
