Default Horn for 2010 Ram 1500

Hey everyone, hopefully an easy question here... looking to replace my stock horn with an OEM replacement as something went 'odd' with mine after taking it through a car wash awhile back... sounds kind of muffled now; not as loud as it used to be. Does anyone know where I would be able to find a direct replacement?

I appreciate the help. Thanks.

You can probably fix it by just drying it out well. Unmount it and see if you can open it or tip it to remove water. Or use a blow dryer or other heat source to evaporate the water inside.

If that's not it, perhaps something is physically touching the horn. Even something lightly resting against a horn will mute it noticeably. Are there any cables or hoses near it that may be touching?

I had a friend drill a small drain hole in the bottom of an alarm horn recently due to rain and a muffled sound. It has been fine ever since

I'll go back and take another look and see if anything is touching the horn although I don't believe there was last time I looked. Once it warms up a bit here as well, I'll see if I can drain anything out of it and maybe try to put a "drain" hole into it. Does that effect the sound at all?

Thanks again for the help guys.

If you want a loud horn, check out the Stebel rated at 139dB.

Must be a design flaw. Ran my '09 1500 through the wash last week.

And the horn went 'muted'.

Hit them with a heat gun for a few minutes, and it got a little better.

Harder to get at with the new design where the grill stays put when you open the hood.
