Default No rear power windows and slider - '09 Ram 1500 Sport 4x4 hemi

Hello all. It has been a while since i posted last. Bought a house in 2012 and it takes up all my time.

I really need the help of this, my favorite dodge forum.

I Went to roll down my rear right window 30 minutes ago at work from the driver controls and nothing. Tried rear left window from same place, nothing. Tried button on the actual rear doors, nothing. Tried rear slider, nothing. This out of no where.
Front power windows work fine. All power locks work fine on all doors.
I did replace my battery sunday since it is almost 6 years old in march. All i did was remove and swap out. I have to assume that this caused 'some kind' of electrical anomaly.

We are having a return of last years polar vortex this week. It's so cold out that it's easier for me to post this from the warmth of my wood stove, than it is to try to remove the battery cables and see if i can reboot the system. I figured i'd run this by you guys before i start messing with the truck.

You guys rock. Thanks again for any ideas!

If the battery disconnect doesn't fix it, try the fuses on the TIPM. Fuses J03, J07, M19 and M25

As information, i have the power rear slider motor and the push/pull cables that go to the window out of my 06' Ram that i replaced when they smashed my rear window. The replacement window included a new motor but since the original was only 2 years old and i literally only opened the rear window with it maybe 5 times i just kept it. If it turns out yours is defective let me know. Ill send you mine for nothing (just pay for shipping). I have no use for it.

Also, any chance the windows might be frozen shut? I have had windows freeze shut many times. It just be coincidental that the it's all the rear windows. Just a thought. Any way you can bring your truck in a garage somewhere? Otherwise it's very easy to pop the door panels. You could do that and use a test light to confirm if they are getting power. Just remember the truck is switched ground, not positive.

Very possible, if the truck sits outside.

I have had the front windows start to work first, and the back still froze, because the front of the cab heats up faster, and has those little defrost vents for the side windows.

Sounds like your rear windows are locked out from your drivers door control panel, depress the button and try them , not sure if it controls the rear slider but you will find out if that is your problem.

An update guys. First thanks for the ideas. When this problem started the temp was 16f. Yesterday i tried at 18f and the rear windows worked but the slider didnt.

Today te rears dont work again and the slider also doesnt. I do not hear motors working, or clicking of motor or switches. Nothing. Just silence. Funny thing is, im VERY mechanically inclined, but its -5f as i type this and at this point, im not working on the truck until its at least in the high 20's this weekend. Not really sure whats going on but very fishy. I'll keep you all posted. Ty !

@chrisp929,

This may or may not apply to your situation but you might want to check this thread if it continues or gets worse.

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/4th-gen...t-working.html

I hope it's not the same thing. My 1 year old Re-Manufactured TIPM failed the other day when it snapped cold. I didn't list it, but my rear windows are not working either among all the other issues. The front windows still work.

I thought my whole episode last year was triggered by a combination of the Polar Vortex and an old-but-not-quite-dead battery but maybe not. Since it happened again this week and my OEM battery is only 1 year old, I'm beginning to think the cold is affecting the TIPM's and possibly causing them to fail.
