Default ordered lock cylinder,its in pieces and have to build it.

Any help here? I ordered a lock cylinder for the tailgate and it came in pieces. Any help here or should I take it to a locksmith? Thanks Wes

Did it not come with instructions? Kinda hard to tell you anything with the scant info you have provided. How many pieces? Where did you order it from? What brand is it? Etc, etc.

BMW did that to me on a motorcycle lock; what a PITA! I said never again!! Good luck my friend!

Pretty easy to assemble them yourself, but had you bought it from the dealer the parts guy would have done it for you. There should be directions in the box on how to select and assemble the locking plates to work with your existing key.

No directions. just a bag of lock pieces. It is a mopar part.

Awesome video. Unfortunatley I recieved a blank cylinder with no pins or springs... DOH
Currently waiting on another. Thanks for all the help

You could just take it in to the dealer and pay them around $10 to key it for you. They will have a bin full of lock plates and springs.
