Default Rims

I recently bought a 2011 Ram 1500 Laramie. I have some things I would like to do it, one of which is a new set of rims. Thing is I know nothing about rims. I only just recently learned that backspacing is something you need to know. I have no idea how to tell what backspacing I need, what size my truck fit, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Backspacing is only part of the equation...you need to keep wheel width and offset in mind as well. This is a very loaded conversation though, and all depends on what YOU want for your truck...what wheel size, tire size, etc... all play into the decision.

For now, here is a better understanding of backspacing vs offset.
