P0441
This is on a 2012 Ram 1500
Now i have done a little bit of reading but not a lot since this just happened today.
Got CEL, curious as to what it was and this code came up (P0441). I will have it looked at but i was just curious about something that may or may not have to do with this code.
Last winter i had issues filling up the truck mostly when it was extremely cold. I mean 20 min to fill up the truck because the gas nozzle kept triggering off all the time. I was literally putting 20 cents at a time. I would then go the car wash (when it got warmer) and just get that ice and snow under the truck to melt and all was fine. Now that it's summer, i noticed lately that it's doing it again. I have to turn the nozzle almost upside down in order to get it to fill at a decent pace.
I am just wondering if this would have anything to do with it and where should i start looking to try to resolve this issue? Also, is it still safe to keep driving is the main question!!!
TIA

I'm sorry to hear about your concerns. A diagnosis would be beneficial and would determine the root cause of your concern. The P0441 codes indicates an EVAP PURGE SYSTEM PERFORMANCE.
Keep us posted on the results of your appointment if you can.
this turned out to be a $25 fix. I just replaced the filter on the "air breather" tube that goes from the tank to an area close to the filler cap. That thing was blocked with gravel dust. I guess it did its job right. The CEL just disappeared on its own shortly after.
So if you drive lots of gravel roads like i do and are experiencing similar symptoms, save yourself a large bill and check that filter first!!!
