Has anyone experienced this yet? Right after it snows and I want to use the 4wd. Go figure. I've got a couple of ideas as to what it is. Just seeing other people have experienced it yet.
You have the auto transfer case or the manual? A bad wheel speed sensor can do this with the manual transfer case. Suspect the same condition could manifest with the auto case.
2 possible things, your transfer case switch is on its way out, or your transfer case needs the fluid changed, either way don't keep driving it until you pull the fuse for the transfer case, or get it serviced. while driving, the computer will throw the truck into 4 hi depending on the speed of the truck. my Dakota started doing this when the switch was failing. get it serviced soon
