Default TPMS light won't go off

I just traded my 2011 Ram Bighorn in for a 2016 Ram Rebel. After driving for half hour or so the TPMS light came on, flashing at first and then solid. I checked all the tire pressures and they are good. Is there anything else I can try, and can I reset this light from home without any special tool?

You just bought it, can't you take it back to the dealer?

It will reset on its own. It means that you either have a bad sensor or one of your tires is too high/low. Doesn't a 2016 tell you which tire is the problem?

Probably mentions something about how to reset in the owners manual.

I live an hour from the Dealer, thought if I could do something myself I would. I don't see an indication of which tire it is, and no it doesn't reference in the manual how to reset it.

Hmm.. normally they reset themselves after like 20 minutes but driving at a certain speed. The manual mentions nothing about the TPMS light? Strange.

Here's what I found on page 309 of the Owner's Manual, T Man:

"Your vehicle has also been equipped with a TPMS
malfunction indicator to indicate when the system is not
operating properly. The TPMS malfunction indicator is
combined with the low tire pressure telltale. When the
system detects a malfunction, the telltale will flash for
approximately one minute and then remain continuously
illuminated. This sequence will continue upon subsequent
vehicle start-ups as long as the malfunction exists.
When the malfunction indicator is illuminated, the system
may not be able to detect or signal low tire pressure
as intended. TPMS malfunctions may occur for a variety
of reasons, including the installation of replacement or
alternate tires or wheels on the vehicle that prevent the
TPMS from functioning properly. Always check the
TPMS malfunction telltale after replacing one or more
tires or wheels on your vehicle, to ensure that the
replacement or alternate tires and wheels allow the TPMS
to continue to function properly."

So, if the issue is with a tire, the light should come on solid and you should receive a message in the EVIC. If the issue is with the TPMS system, it will behave as stated above.

Thanks. Turns out I drove around more and the light went out. My tires were all at 60 psi, I lowered them all to 55 which is the amount stated on the door panel. I guess that did it.
