Question Oil temps in these 4th gens?

tried to search, cant find any threads. 2016 bighorn 5.7, oil temps driving are 220ish...idleing theyll sit right with the coolant, 200-202. Still have the clutch fan, and just yesterday switched to amsoil 5-20 signature series. What kinds of temps are yall seeing? anything i should know about as far as like a restrictor or something funky? im considering pulling the louvers and getting an e-fan. let me know! thanks jake

I've noticed the same thing on my 2017 but not on my old 2009. I think that with the 8 speed trans and the thermal management 3 way valve, the 8 speed trucks run higher oil temps. I've seen high 240s towing up hill.

my 17 tends to run in the teens to low 20s for oil temp (in the summer), coolant temp fluctuates all over the place too (watch that if you want a surprise) especially when cruising down the highway, you can see when the flaps open since the water temp will drop significantly and in a very short time.
