how much is it to change a gas filter for a 2001, dodge neon?

haven't done it in a long time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I'm not sure, but it should actually cost more than 20 dollars to buy the part, not sure about installation because I forgot where ours are located. Are they underneath the car or what?

 

when i went to the parts store to buy a fuel filter, they told me that it is non servicable. Meaning.... I guess i'm not sure, but he told me that there was no way that i could replace it because they couldnt even get me a filter. I have a 2001 neon es.

 

the fuel filter for your car is just a padding on your pump and sorry but buying the pump is the only way. unless you make one.

 

^^Yep the fuel "filter" is in the tank...the only way to replace it is to replace the entire pump IIRC...you can also ditch the internal one and install an external fuel filter if you really wanted too, but i dont see the point in doing so since it would be a bit more work.
