Got an 04 Neon, LOVE IT! Got it back after loaning it out and theres a loud brrrrrr when I accelerate. It's not the trans, it runs fine... its not the engine. It sounds as though if I did have a tip on the muffler but I dont. Other than this constant noise when I rev, it runs perfect. A friend around the way said catalytic converter. Any suggestions? Recommendations?

 

Oh yea and it so loud it vibrates my rear view mirror, thanks again

 

it could also be an egsaust leek but it will also have a ticking sound

 

I was also thinking a bad exhaust manifold gasket

 

have someone hold a rag or something over tha tailpipe to check for leaks
