Default clutch upgrade help

Hello all. I'm a bit disapointed. Yesterday driving cross country I had to stomp on it in 5th gear to get around a guy on the freeway, and my clutch slipped. I backeddown to4thand it did the same thing. My experiencetells meif I really baby it Ihave4 or 5 months before I'll needto change it. I'm disapointed because the car only has 32K on it. (about 10K of that is mine). I'm nice to clutches. Even driving hard they always last me 100K or more. Anyway, I'd like a bit more engauging force for my next one and was wondering what people are using for additional HP applications, Say a turbo application. Hoping theres a good mopar one available that's stiffer than stock that gets good reviews. Thanks!

I'm assuming it's a heavier clutch. Any numbers?

i spent alot of money on my centerforce clutch, but also got a good deal on it to, 500 and worth every penny, it is a duel friction, before my turbo was hooked up i could bet the tires to cherp in second at about 3000, that is not to bad, it is a very nice clutch for a daily driver. nice and easy engagement and disegagmet...

if you want to go with a race clutch go with a puck clutch, 6 or 4 puck, but if you plan on driving it on the street you better start working out some, because you left leg is going to have to be strong, lol

you can go with a pt clutch but if you are going to go with a turbo setup i would go aftermarket,

oh yeah the centerforce clutch is rated at over 400 hp, and 400ft/lbs

I used to have a Mustang with a centerforce clutch. My girlfriend needed both legs to puch the clutch in It's for a daily driver, I'll probably do the P/T version. Anyone know how much more force it has than he Neon version?

Thanks,

you can not go with just a centerforce clutch, just the regular ones are stiff, they are a race clutch, but the duel friction is made for street strip and enganges as good as stock little stiffer, but when you go to launch your car the second disk is like a race clutch so you do not have to worry about stop and go trafic but when you get into a race situation it will perform like a race clutch

Define softer. Does it have less engaugement force. Or does the pedal just feel softer. This is a consumable I figured this would be common knowledge for the big HP guys.
