Default cd-burner help

I have a bit of a problem I hope one of you can help with. I have a Dell Dimension 8200 desktop, and since it didn`t come with a burner, I added one a few years back. Well, a few months ago it started not wanting to burn anymore. Now neither drive will read a cd that I previously burned, although the one that came with it will read cds burned on other computers. This thing is driving me nuts, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am kinda confused on what you were trying to say... Which CD drives will read and kind of CDs is it having trouble with?

Try to just unistall and then re-install any software/drivers that came with the new CD Rom.

Sounds like your burner is bad or your cd's are bad.

Can you read any of your burnt cds from that drive in another PC? If you can read any of the burnt cds from that drive in another PC, then the burner is bad. What burning software are you using and did you update that software lately?
