We left it up until Dec 1st cause we were mid month when he was posted. A new vehicle is on it's way. already picked. ;)

Voting would only cause hard feelings for those who don't win. Besides being a headache for Amanda, you have to consider that only a few hundred of us are daily posters on DF. Waiting for almost 10,000 members to vote would take way too long. You've also got people in the military O/S who don't have regular access to a computer.

Maybe a "board" of 5 or so randomly picked active members could decide. That's the way we picked our "Airman/NCO/Officer of the Month" in the military......

there is a thread that is open the 3rd week of a month, nominating for the following month...after a few days, noms are closed, andthere are like 10 days for voting...just in a simple"poll posting"..no hard feelings, because no one knows who voted for who....i was nominated twice..never won though..lol
