Default Verizon Wireless Internet?

I just bought a Dell XPS 1530 laptop and now I have to get an internet service for it. I have been considering one of the Verizon USB Broadband Cards. My friend has one and she loves it, but she just uses it for browsing. I would be using mine for downloading music off Limewire, watching vidoes, and browsing. It seems like a pretty good deal. $60 a month with a 5G cap. Do you think that would be enough space for me? I probably download 1 or 2 cd's a week and watch a handful of vidoes. Any input on the service would be appreciated. Thanks.

The verizon broadband is great for internet browsing, to some extent it is ok for streaming music. As for downloading entire CDs and movies, you might want to a land line of some kind.

The other variables you are looking at are signal strength, and other users in the area. Signal strength plays BIG into the actual download speed. Total throughput for a tower is shared amongst users connected to that tower, if there are alot of other verizon users in your area doing the same thing you are, your speeds are likely to drag.

I have verizon broadband and really enjoy the mobility, however I live in a 'hilly' area and signal is hit or miss.
