Forum Suggestion: direct link to most recent post...
Hi guys,
I get an email sent to me when a new post is made here at DodgeForum, But
I get sent to the first page ! Why not be directed first to the most recent poster/ question, especially when it's listed in my email ?
Just a suggestion, being a former programmer, I had a ruthless instructor who
always said: 'Think of the customer first' and 'Don't make them have to do
any extra 'click-steps' to get where they want to go ' .
Just want to make this a better experience for all.
Tx. Cheers, Greatwest1 !

What is your Subscription setting set to?
In any case, the email provides you the post for which the notification was sent, so you can read it.
You are right that the email gives you just the thread link. But when you go to the thread, there is a link in the first Post that says:
View First Unread
Click that and it will meet pretty much what you are after. Yes, a 2nd click though. Also, it's based on your last login/view of that thread. I believe this forum is using Cookie thread marking based on the high account base here.
