Could someone please investigate the behavior of the new prefix search feature that was recently added for the caravan forum? I am trying to understand why the results are not exclusively limited to the prefix selected.


For example, if you search the caravan forum only with a prefix of gen5 08+ and keyword of "winter", I would expect the results to be limited to posts with prefix tag of gen5 containing the word winter.




Strangely, the result set is not limited to posts with gen 5 prefix. In fact, every gen is shown in the results, both with and without the prefix tag.


The prefix feature does not appear to work at all for searching unless it is doing an "or" instead of "and".

The search feature is broken and should be able to search only in a specific prefix. The tech team is looking into this. The sticky above would be the best way to navigate until that search function is repaired.
