Default 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Diessel clear fluid leak

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel that is leaking a clear oily fluid. Whatever this was it went all at once and killed the engine. It almost looked like it was coming from the drivers side firewall. For about 2 weeks before this happened the truck was making a noise that sounded like large treaded tires sound on the road. The fluid has a very distinct smell. I checked the transmission fluid and it was pinkish brown and smells different. The brake fluid is yellowish and is not low and smells different too. Steering fluid is pinkish and smells different also not low. Oil of course is brown and also smells completely different. What in the world is clear and oily, can kill the engine when it loses pressure or gets low and is in the back right side of the engine compartment by the drivers side firewall?

This fluid went with pressure. It is on everything in the back right lower side of the engine compartment (drivers side). The fluid sprayed on everything including the transmission in this area of the engine.

Welcome to DF. Please take a few minutes and read the section descriptions so you post in the correct area. This section is for reporting issues with the Dodge Forum internet site, not vehicle specific sections. From the main form page, scroll until you find the 3rd gen Ram section and post your issues in the technical section of that forum.
