Default where did my bookmarks go?

I just started useing firefox, I know I know i'm LIGHT YEARS BEHIND. Anyway I started up my comp this afternoon and all my bookmarks are gone. Can i get them all back somehow or start all over? I'm brutally dependent on bookmarks I don't even remember how to get to some of the sites anymore.

I do not know where that browser stores them but IE puts them in c:\documents and settings\username\favorites

Firefox did that to me too... Couldn't get them back, even after uninstalling and reinstalling... It also opened everytime like it was brand new on the system...

I was told this has never happened before by a few computer guys... and that it was my computer... yeah........ but no... lol... Glad to know it hasn't only happened to me... It also started being really slow... Was a great browser before it had a total melt down...

Dumped Firefox and went with AOL Explorer... Best choice I made with browsers....

http://downloads.channel.aol.com/browser

All the features of Firefox and IE 7, but with no problems for me... Easy to use... Fast... and it does not come with any spyware... It's also integrated into AIM Triton... Security, pop-up controls and "Quick Scan" spyware scanner, tabbed browsing and feeds... Integrated AIM mail as well....

Download version 1.3 if you dont want the beta 1.5....

Default RE: where did my bookmarks go?

in firefox click on File

go down to import

it will ask you where you want to import from

select Microsoft Internet Explorer

click on next

everything will probably come up checked so UNCHECK the stuff you DONT want imported
so in your case make sure the only checkmark is next to favorites

click on next

this should import your favorites

click on Finish

to check go to Bookmarks and they will most likely be under a folder named from Internet Explorer
