Does the dongle need to remain ina usb port for the program to operate?

 

try pulling it out and attempting.

 

I pluged it in, downloaded the program, unpluged it and pluged in the interface box, installed the interface, and it seems to work but will not show the input from my guitar. I don't need a midi, or DI box, the program came with the MI4 interface unit. I got two books with the program, one says to use the dongle and the other says it's not needed.[&:]
