Hi all,

I'm new to this forum. Just got a 2000 Intrepid. There are several small/minor issues with the car but one that's really annoying is the shifter. That thing is SOOO hard to shift (any type of shift I do). I feel the worst part is shifting from drive to park. I think I can hear a little bit of gear grind when passing reverse. The RPM also goes up a bit when I do this (car is fully warm and is standing still of course). What's the problem? Is this common in Intrepid?

how long ago did you buy it and where did you buy it from?

 

I fixed it. Had to replace the trans shifting cable. That part is such a pain in the *** to do in this car.
