Picked up a 2004 about 2 months ago in Richmond Va. and drove it home to Apple Valley Mn. 1319 total miles and the car ran great, yesterday as I was driving along at about 35mph the engine light came on and theengine started missingand when I tried to give the engine more gas it begin to miss really bad, when I let up on the gas the engine smoothed out, car started right up about 2 hours later and it did not miss when Ishall we say stepped on it just to see what would happen but the engine light is still on, have not driven the car today at all so will see what happens tomorrow, any thoughts before I take it in to the local Dodge dealer??? car has 35000 original miles, thanks for your time. Bring it to an auto parts store (big chail eg auto zone) and ask them to scan the codes. Post them here and we can go from there. An engine miss can be caused by many things...the codes will help get to the bottom.
