Default 2001 Intrepid with DTC P0432

Engine light came on and I checked the codes, it was P0432, "Main Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)"

I could find no info on this except for a Durango on this forum, actually. Does this have 2 catalytic converters, or just 1 (and what would Bank 2 mean in that case)? And is it true they must warranty it? I have 160k+ miles. I loathe the idea of going to either of the 2 nearby dealerships. One of them charged me $800 fixing things once before they figured out it was an O2 sensor that needed replacing (and leaving a pressure guage attached to one of the cylinders at that, when returning it to me.) I should've kept it and sold it on eBay.

The exhaust system consists of two front close coupled catalytic converters. Both converters attach directly to the exhaust manifold using a V-Band clamp. Normally bank 1 is right, bank 2 is left, check with an auto parts store, they can confirm.

Good luck,
Kurt
