I just bought a 96 Intrepid and the Headlights were "sun burned" I used my restoration skills to fix it and Just wanted it include it here in the hope that it may help you.

Ugly Headlight

Wet Sand it with 600 Grit

Apply Wax

buff with a car buffer

And now it is good as new
