I have a 1997 dodge intrepid 3.5 automatic transmission that I'm having problems with. I changed the transmission control module & the transmission itself but I'm still getting the same codes & it's still acting the same as it was before I changed these. The codes are gear 4 incorrect ratio, gear 3 incorrect ratio, no ccd message from transaxel to computer, & transmission control system malfunction. I'm not sure what the 'ccd message' stands for... can anyone help? The initial problem is when driving it slips into nuetral then slams into 3rd gear.. I think it's an electrical problem but I don't even know where to begin checking this.

 

Sounds like you need a transmission rebuild. Dad has a 97 that was reading the same codes and having the same issues minus the CCD bus error, I took it to the local transmission shop and the guy took it out and drove it. Their conclusion was it needed a rebuild. Have a transmission shop look at it for you.
