Default changed thermostat and still overheating

Can anyone help me, I changed out the thermostat on a 2000 intrepid and apperently it is still overheating (sometimes). could it be the thermostat going out? Also where is the thermostat located? is it really easy to change out? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try a cap first. If the system doesn't pressuerize it can overheat. There is actually a tester you can borrow from autozone etc that can check the cap. Try it first.

Sounds like to my that you have a stuck thermostat. I had this problem on my 1995 Intrepid 3.3l. If you still have not found out where the thermostat is I have located it on Autozone. I need to know what liter engine your Intrepid has. Once you get that to me we can go from there. Hope I have helped you.

Or... the OP didn't bleed all of the air out of the system.
