would like to know if there is any products out there to replace that big ugly plastic mess that covers up most of the engine? thanks

Which engine? The 2.4 or the 3.5. They've both been out there for a while. Owners of other models might know, such as the Caliber or Avenger owners.

Just remove it, its not doing anything except retaining heat.
