Default Brake controller wiring

Hi -
I am adding an after market brake controller to an 09 Journey SXT. I need to know where to connect into power and the brake control (light) circuit under the dash. Are there wiring diagrams available? Does the Dodge Tow Prep Package include an under-dash connector for a brake controller?

There is a white, flat 4-wire connector under the steering column - where can I find out what circuits are in it? Could it be for the brake controller?

Thanks

Why would you need a brake controller in a Journey? Isn't the tow limit 3500#? Seems any trailer that had electric brakes would weigh 3500#+ empty.

I ask because I'm considering a 2011 Journey with the "Tow Prep" package to pull a utility trailer perhaps twice a year. The trailer and the cargo wouldn't weigh 3500# combined. More like 1500-2000# (golf cart, lawn tractor, etc).

It is going to be under the TIPM, fuse box for brake light output.

as mentioned, If you tow a heavy trailer that requires electric trailer brake, you are asking for drive-train problems. The Mopar Tow package are not for trailer brake, just light duty cargo.

Now I need to confirm the towing capacity with Dodge. I just read a review that said max with V6 was 2500# and not 3500#......still within my needs but I like to know the max.

Found it: http://www.dodge.com/en/towing_payload/2011/

2500#
