I have a 09 Dodge Journey. At around 40K the A/C started to smell. I took it to a shop to have a clean and deorderize done and still did not resolve the issue. I called to talk to Dodge as I have also had a number of other issues with the vehicle and got poor poor customer service they were very rude and short. People ask why so many purchase none "American" Vehciles....simple customer service and they don't stand behind their product. I would never purchase another Dodge vehicle again and would suggest to others to avoid Dodge since once they have your money they don't care about if you happy or not.

 

Realistically unlesss you purchased extended warranty
your are on the hook for the charges.
I had that with a '96 Cirrus in that the evap coil failed
due to poor drainage which also caused the smell.
Did they change the in cabin air filter?
Make sure the evap drain is clear and you can Fabreeze
the cabin filter to aleviate some of the smell.
