I'm looking into getting some aftermarket mufflers but cant seem to find the exhaust diameter. Is truely a 3 inch pipe even after the Y? or are they 2.5? Any help would be great.

 

I just crawled under my '11SXT DJ and measured the
OUTSIDE CIRCUMFERANCE of the pipes.
The pipe coming to the "Y" from the engine is 8 inches or abt 2.5" diameter at the joint with the "Y"
and the pipe to each muffler from the "Y" is 6.5 inches or abt 2.0 " diameter.
