2012 Dodge Journey R/T keyfob/windows
My wife isn't used to having a sunroof. First day of having it she left it in a parking garage and left he sunroof open with her purse in the backseat!!!!(luckily it was inside when it rained that night lol)
Is there a way I can go to the dealer to get the keyfob programmed to roll up the windows and the sunroof or even just the sunroof?
I know you can with aftermarket alarms, but don't want to put an aftermarket system on the car with 400 miles on it.
I would think that if the dealer can't do it I can do it with relays to close the windows and the roof when the lock button is pressed....no?

not to sound like a smart @$$, but did you ask the dealer yet? They ca nanswer your initial question.
As far as aftermarket, that would be tricky because at times you may not want it to close every time you lock the car. Also, when unlocked it would open without some programming or smart intervention on the car's part. There would have to be some sort of trigger block when unlocked so it only opened when you told it to.
I would say she just needs to check ALL her windows before leaving/locking the car. She knows how to open it up, so she needs to learn to do the opposite. It is no different than any other new item in any new car, house, etc. Should not take long and you will have nothing to worry about.

I wouldn't want it to roll down when unlocked, that's why it would be triggered by the lock side of the fob. The salesman said there isn't a way, but I'm going to call and talk to a tech someday soon and see what he says.
I don't know about the 2012 but I don't see why not if it is available in the 2009 it is s programming feature that when youlock the doors the skylight closes. I believe my manual gave directions but the dealer should do it being that it is a new car.
