Garmin Navigation System 2012 Journey

Does anyone know how to increase the volume on the voice prompts of this system. Using the radio audio does not seem to work.

I have found that I am able to increase the navigator volume only when the navigator is actually speaking. Any other time, only the radio volume is increased.
